Abuja-born forward, Paul Mukairu has finally landed in Brussels, Belgium, and trained with his new side Anderlecht for the first time since moving on-loan from Turkish side, Antalyaspor, at the beginning of the month.
The 20-year-old was withheld in Turkey due to paperwork difficulties and problems caused by Covid-19. He uploaded a picture on Instagram of him training with his new teammate and club manager, Vincent Kompany. Anderlecht’s next game against Antwerp might prove to soon for the youngster, but he should be available for selection after that.
Mukairu moved to the Belgian giants on the back of an impressive debut in topflight football last season. He completed the third most dribbles per 90 among Nigerian players, a stat bettered by only Chidera Ejuke of CSKA Moscow and Anthony Nwakaeme of Trabzonspor.
