Monaco forward, Henry Onyekuru, has agreed to join Turkish giants, Galatasaray, in January when the transfer window opens according to reports in France and Turkey say Monaco have also given their consent to the deal. Onyekuru has struggled to earn a consistent run of games at Monaco since his transfer from Everton.
He has played under two Monaco managers, Leonardo Jardim, for whom he made just 4 appearances, and currently Niko Kovac, also appearing four times. After his poor form under the former, he was loaned to Galatasaray in the winter transfer window and it looks like history might repeat itself.
Onyekuru’s 4 games this season has yielded just 1 assist and he has started only 2 games, with those starts followed by early substitutions. The reports claim that Niko Kovac sees Onyekuru as surplus to requirements and is open to letting him go, so Galatasaray, who tried to sign him in the just closed transfer window, have approached for a potential January deal. Galatasaray manager, Faith Terim is a huge admirer of the player.
