19-year-old playmaker, Michael Olise is fast becoming one of the most sought after youngsters by Premier League clubs after a breakthrough campaign that has produced 4 goals and 8 assists in 22 championship appearances.
This has seen him linked to top-flight sides like Chelsea, Arsenal, Leeds and Aston Villa who appear to be in the driving seat. Across the British aisles also lurks Italian giants, AC Milan.
The most interesting of these reports are claiming the midfielder can be acquired for as little as £8million, which is an absolute steal in today’s inflated market.
This is due to an alleged release clause in Olise’s contract which expires next year.
Reading Serbian. manager, Veljko Paunovic , however failed to quash these reports when asked in an interveiw with BerkshireLive; rather choosing to berate the insider who leaked “confidential” contract details:
“We have to be very careful talking about ccontract. There is always confidentiality involved and if there is anyone releasing that information they need to be careful.”
He however reiterated Readings ambition to nurture the young star to the top level,
“What I can say is Michael is in the right and best possible place at this moment for his career. We want him to be with us for a long time and hopefully together in the Premier League – at one point during his career and hopefully that is soon.
“We want Michael to develop and become the player that we all see there is inside of him but we want him to be with Reading.”
Through his parents Olise is eligible to represent Nigeria, but the Super Eagles have a lot of work cut out as he has represented Frances youth team while his elder brother represents England, the country of his birth.
